What started as a photo-a-day project has quickly turned into a 'What got my attention today, this week or this month.' We all know how I am with making firm commitments!

Pump it Up - 17/10
Some days just stop you in your tracks. Yesterday I got smacked with a wave of appreciation of my life and love. We were on a secluded beach. I was laying, lizard-like, on a warm rock thinking about how much I happiness I have in my life. How much love I have. How much love is showered on me. But it's not very often that you can have complete balance in your life I wouldn't have thought. And no, I don't have the balance perfected, but I am trying.

Rockin' The Suburbs - 11/10
I also got reconnected with my acoustic guitar so I have constant dimples in my finger tips from the steel strings. For her 3rd birthday, P got a ukulele so we've been having a few jam sessions together. She's definitely musical, asking if we'd like to watch a concert and playing Tracy Chapman, La Roux and Judy Garland.
Hilarious!

Passionate Woman - 23/09
So I found a new passion. Bass guitar. I love it. I love the sound, the reverberations. I love the feel of it. The weight of it. The way I have to stand to hold it. The way it makes my fingers hurt and creates indentations so when I'm typing on my laptop they feel funny. I love it's sexy red colouring.
Yep, found my new thang!
The next instrument I want to buy is called a kalimba. It makes the most beautiful sound, almost childlike. I think I could smash out some cute little ditties on this thing.

Luck has got nothing to do with it! 27/09
I know I know.....
I've posted a few times about fabulous women in my life, but it seems that every few months a new fabulous woman comes along.
B describes it as my latest "Girl Crush". I can't stop talking about my new friend, telling stories about my new friend, fantasising about long cups of tea, or Bibs coffee heated to 80 degrees, or pints of Coopers.
This little town has brought some great women into my life, and they're all different.
I'm a very luck girl.

Come on spring, do your thing - 31/08
It has been a while between posts hasn't it?
My last post I was barefoot, wearing shorts eating an icy pole.
This post I'm wearing ugg boots, thick winter pyjamas and waiting for the kettle to boil so I can make a hot milo.
But spring starts tomorrow, and this afternoon I did spy the first few flowers on my apricot tree. Change is in the air! And with our new caravan 'Daisy' we're looking forward to many mini-holidays in the warmer weather.

Hunters and Collectors
We're here in Coral Bay soaking up the sun and the salty water.
We've been lazing on the beach making sand castles, drinking ice-cold beer in deck chairs, eating fresh food, enjoying sleeping in our new caravan.
My favourite thing has been fishing on a fishing charter, catching more fish than Brent and seeing humpback whales and a minke whale on the way back in. The beautiful whales came right up to the fishing charter boat, curiously, and the mama gave a splash of her tail. We also saw a couple of humpbacks breaching right out of the water, slapping the water with their fins and crashing back into the water.
I'm not ready to leave. I want more snorkeling time, more swimming time, more sunning myself time, more family time, more pool time......
I'm just not ready..... But all good things must come to an end. And this too shall pass.

The Passenger - 01/08
Today we were tourists. It was yet another one of those pristine winter days. Such warm sunshine.
We drove out to Valley of the Giants and went here
It was so beautiful - even for me who's scared of heights. But being a mother who wants to be a brave role model for her child, I kept my mouth shut and tried to find the whole 40m high walk along a suspended bridge fun. And I must say, I did a good job.
Then we drove along the windy tree lined roads to Walpole for a picnic - just like tourists do!
After stopping to buy avocados from a stall by the side of the road (and ice cream from the local shop) we went out to here
Think we're just getting in the mood of being a tourist - Holidays start Friday afternoon!
