This summer I have weekends of wants:
I want:
Sunday winery visits
Drives to remote beaches
Swims in the early morning
BBQ's on our deck
Beer with friends in the sun
Music to be all around me
Not much......
What started as a photo-a-day project has quickly turned into a 'What got my attention today, this week or this month.' We all know how I am with making firm commitments!

Hopelessly Devoted.....07/11
Wow, a week ago I was talking up how fabulous it was singing in front of 3 friends at Liz's house.
Weeeeeelllll, on Friday I sang in front of my whole class. And it was even more exciting!
First we all sang a slowed down version of 'Your the One that I Want' similar to this
Then I got asked to sing my song.....And of course I said yes. This was it. My moment.
I was super nervous and felt like I was going to vomit, but my teacher asked me and how could I say no?
So yes, lots of fantasies are coming to fruition lately. Lucky me!

Wicked Woman - 03/11
On Monday night I sang in Liz's backyard studio.....
I sang a song that I wrote. The first song I ever wrote, and I sang it for the first time. I loved it. And I am so happy that the ones I sang it to are such talented musicians that they were able to make the song come alive for me.
It's a song about being a lyin', cheatin', heartbreakin' man hater. About being a wicked woman. A woman who (I assume) would wear fishnet stockings in the daytime, drink champagne from the bottle, and dance on table-tops. Certainly not a biographical song!
It was exciting, and nerve-wracking, and fun and just a tad champagne induced.

GIrls on Film - 31/10
So I've never made any claim to be a photographer, of any sort. Though I would love love love a good camera, the list of things I would also love love love is quite long and camera isn't quite at the top.
But I do love taking photos and looking at my photos and looking at other peoples photos.

What a novel idea! 19/10
So I've been thinking about how unimportant the television is in my life. I really don't watch it. Well, look, I do watch Wednesday night ABC, but other than that I just happen to be in the room as B is watching something, or Miss P has her turn.
Don't get me wrong, I think it has it's place and I can't imagine not having the TV, but sometimes I really like the idea of throwing the thing in the back room or throwing a blanket over it as she sometimes does just to hide it away a little......

Pump it Up - 17/10
Some days just stop you in your tracks. Yesterday I got smacked with a wave of appreciation of my life and love. We were on a secluded beach. I was laying, lizard-like, on a warm rock thinking about how much I happiness I have in my life. How much love I have. How much love is showered on me. But it's not very often that you can have complete balance in your life I wouldn't have thought. And no, I don't have the balance perfected, but I am trying.

Rockin' The Suburbs - 11/10
I also got reconnected with my acoustic guitar so I have constant dimples in my finger tips from the steel strings. For her 3rd birthday, P got a ukulele so we've been having a few jam sessions together. She's definitely musical, asking if we'd like to watch a concert and playing Tracy Chapman, La Roux and Judy Garland.
Hilarious!
