It only takes a minute so lets get to it - 30/07

Today I made music
I sang for the first time in a group and LOVED it
I was surrounded by passionate musicians
They love what they do
The do what they love
It's that simple

In case anyone is wondering - my camera is still broken so I can't yet upload photos.
But not to worry, hopefully it will be fixed by the weekend

What I'm reading - Crocheting instructions (why can't I get it?)
What I'm listening to - Accoustic versions of  'Dancing in the Dark'

I've got a Golden Ticket!! - 24/07

Well, not quite a golden ticket.
But I do have my paid enrolment form for Cert II in Music Industry (Foundation).
Woohoo! I did it. I went and enrolled.
My Fridays will now be consumed by listening to, making, writing and just enjoying music.
I'm one happy and excited lady.

Mix that with the joy of the final 2 week countdown until 2 glorious weeks of up-north sunshine

So yes, I guess I do have the Golden Ticket.......

For my next trick.......19/07

I've always had this fantasy......
You know, a secret desire that I don't talk about.
It's singing. I've always wanted to sing.

Of course I'm always singing at home, where the only two people that hear me don't judge me. They just put up with it.
Polly knows to close the kitchen door when I'm doing dishes because I'll be singing......loudly.

Then on Saturday night the opportunity came up for me to sing.
It was Beautiful Caren's birthday (yes, that should be her name)
Todd and Jez were playing (listen to Blumanna here)
Then all of a sudden it came. I was singing. Someone threw a microphone in my face and I was off.
It was fun.
It was exciting.
I got to tick it off my 'Things to do" list

Now I'm wondering about a music course at TAFE
I've done the hard part. Do I want to take it further?

Then at coffee with Jane today she mentioned the art course she starts at TAFE next week.

Which should I choose?

By being happy, you sow anonymous benefits upon the world - 14/07/2010

Don't you just love being happy? It's so much better being happy than sad, or grumpy, or jealous, or negative. When you're happy it seeps out of your every pore and is infectious. Being around happy people, you usually can't help but be contaminated with their joy.
Yes, I am happy. Maybe it's the looming holiday in warmer weather that is putting me on a cloud 9.
Maybe it's the prospect of many more holidays to come. Maybe it's that awesome sunshine that has shon today, warming the cockles of my being for the first time in days. Maybe it's my brilliant family. Maybe I'm just hormonal.
Whatever it is, I'm lapping it up.

What I'm listening to: Polly and I singing 'Oh my darlin' Clementine'
What I'm reading: The "This Business is For Sale" sign in Bib Foods.......hmmmm.......

There's good deads & there's good intentions, they're as far apart as heaven and hell.

I dropped my camera. I dropped it about an hour after discussing with B that I'd like a sexy new one.
Hmm....He was just a tad suspicious.
That afternoon we all went for a fossick at the Tip Shop and I picked up one of these babies for $2

It's seriously heavy and completely mechanical, but it's made in Germany in the 80's, so I'm thinking it will be bulletproof.  I've been taking a few photos of P and we're off to the beach for a treasure hunt this morning so will take some more with different exposures.

This week I also met a new baby over here
Unsuccessfully made pumpkin gnocchi
Started making plans for a 2012 Around Aus Trip
Found a hidden gem of a restaurant

What I'm listening to: Ben Harper- Welcome to the Cruel World
